BUSY SPRING ANNUAL SHOW MAY 10, 2003 Our 55th annual show was staged at the Eastwood High School Theater on May 10. Great work by the actors and actresses helped make "Remember Radio" a success. Frank Laverpool, a visiting John Grafe, Kerry King, Jorge Acevado, Jed Leachman, Hector Alvarado, Frank Rourke and even Dave Williams helped to put on the show. The Jingle Quartet showed a lot of class by infuriating the MC and doing a bang-up job. Frank Laverpool played a great Bart Holiday in the radio Play "The Rotten Spice Caper". Comments from the audience after the show indicated they were very pleased with the performance of GAS HOUSE GANG, the 1993 International Quartet Champions who headlined the show. And the Rogues of the Rio Grande demonstrated why they were Division Champions by performing their excellent portion. Guys and Dolls made a very skillful appearence early in the show and Celebration showed off new songs in an church style presentation with excellent harmony after the Intermission. Several patrons expressed their pleasure with comments like "This was the best I have ever heard the Border Chorders sing." The stage presence and the interpretation on the radio play and chorus presentation was an adaptation on a Harmony College written show. For all of us, the two performances were tiring, but we felt good about our work. Next year we are contracted with "GOTCHA!" another world champ quartet.
